About us

Each one of us has an Idol to look up to, mine is my grandfather. As a kid I loved spending time with him and helping him on his farm. Every year we started the process of making the traditional Serbian liquor -Rakija- together. From collecting the best fruits in his backyard during summer to the fermentation and distilling process in the winter till the aging of the liquor. In a young age I learned that it takes a lot of hard work and patience to create something beautiful. 

Throughout the whole process we spend our time together not just working but also laughing and learning more about this tradition. I will never forget my grandfather’s words „This isn’t just a liquor – its more than that – it’s about bringing the people together as in good and bad times. Different cultures and different languages – Rakija will always build a bridge and connect the people. People are providing our lives with unforgettable memories. Do not allow yourself to become a machine and only work hard, balance it with the beautiful memories.“ Growing up in between many cultures I quickly realized – he is right- and I took it as my mission to share this experience with the world. 

The journey continued with a friend who shared the same ideology with me. It is to keep the bridges of connection alive in honor of our idols and beautiful memories.  

This is how our business at Tesic Rakija became real. All of our Rakija is made out of only what nature provides us. There are no additional flavors, aromas or other ingredients. Only the best selected fruit and fresh water from the Avala Mountain. We are keeping the tradition alive and we know that each taste is going to build a new connection, a new memory and something worth living for.
